Our client is a group of companies engaged in water filtration solutions and green technologies. They are the expertise in design engineering and consultation in water and waste water solutions for domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Today, they have progressed to become the premier total water system solutions and service provider in the region. With their continuing success and growth, they are looking to appoint a qualified and hands-on Accountant to join their team at Subang Jaya.
Reporting to the Director you will be responsible for leading the finance/accounting functions for the business. As the AM, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of journal entries,accruals and balance sheet reconciliations in order to meet company and statutory reporting requirements.
Duties will include:
-Responsible for the full spectrum of finance including timely preparation of financial and management reports and analysis of financial results.
-Manage and control end to end financial processes in support of the accounts which include collections, payments, monthly close activities and balance sheet reconciliation.
-Undertake and perform business planning and yearly budget.
-Lead, mentor and manage and develop a team of accounting personnel.
Applicants with previous experience in leading end to end accounting operations for a medium sized business and preferably with accounting background in water engineering or construction industry with a strong knowledge of contracting operations and job costing will definitely an advantage to secure this job.
-Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
-At least 5 years of overall commercial accounting experience.
-Advance level of computer skills on MS Office and accounting software; previous exposure to ERP systems would be highly regarded.
-Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards and regulations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills is necessary as the role will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all business levels.
